SNOW DAY!

Look at this sassy little face!
She was much more interested in eating the snow then helping mom with the snowman.
Kinley helped me roll up this snow man, but then continued to eat him!
We had a great time in the snow today! Kinley would have stayed out there all day if I would have let her!!

First Bubble Bath!

Kinley had her first Bubble Bath the other night and loved it. It makes me feel bad that I haven't ever let her experience this before. I think I need to start being a little bit more of a fun mom!! She loved putting the bubbles on her head, but wasn't to sure about the jets that made the bubbles bigger. We will have to do more bubble baths in times to come!

Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!

Valentines Day was a good one at this house. Kinley woke up to a cute new teddy bear and heart shaped pink pancakes. We then were able to go to the park and out to eat! We missed having daddy with us today though!

Birthday Month!

February is a huge birthday month for our family, and oh boy did we celebrate!

I couldn't resist putting this picture in of Henry playing basketball.  We got to go to one of his games while visiting and his teammate really wanted the rebound! Henry played great and it was so fun getting to see him in action. Way to go Henry!

During the first part of February we went to Oklahoma to spend Dad and Henrys birthday with Brents family. It was one of erics last weekends with us before heading to Oregon for his last rotation. We had a great time! We were able to go to Texas Road House for Birthday dinner and the next night we had cake and ice cream! It was fun playing games and just relaxing for the weekend!!!

The parties kept going with Mom and I next. We went out to eat at chilis and mom made me Danish Dessert! Then for moms birthday I made her a peanut butter chocolate cake. (Think we have had enough cake yet this month?) Kinley really loved blowing out the candles with us!
Brylee and Dallins birthdays were next and we were able to go up to Brians house to celebrate and to go to Dallins Baptism.
 The kids at the Baptism.

Congrats Dallin on your baptism. We are so proud of you and your decision to get baptized, and are so happy that we were able to come and be a part of your exciting day! We had a great weekend with them even though it was a short one! Thanks for having us come :)

Gymnastics Time!

So during January I decided to find a way to get kinley out of the house, and sure enough a groupon popped up for a 1 month gymnastics class here in springfield. It was perfect and I knew it was just what we both needed. Kinley fell in love with (GYNASTICS as she would call it)! Her favorite thing was jumping on the trampoline. The teacher always knew to let her go to that station first, because she knew how much she loved it! She loved everything about the gym though and that month went by way to fast. Now I need to try and get her in swimming or something else. This girl is way to active to be cooped up in the house all winter long!

Catch up Time!

So it has been forever since I updated the blog so I thought I would catch up from where I left off!

Kinley Turns 2
(Yes I am starting from October, I'm so on top of things huh?)

Kinley had an awesome birthday party with friends and family in st. george. As you can see she dug right into her puppy cake! She ended up getting more than enough presents from everyone and was on cloud 9. I got the cake idea off of pintrest and it turned out better than I expected it would. Kinley loved her puppy cake and cupcakes!!! It ended up being a perfect night!!

  Kinley Busts her head open!
We were hanging out at the house, making apple pie when kinley fell off the stairs going out to the back yard at Grandma Drakes house. Grandpa Drake brought her in and she had blood everywhere on her head. We got it all cleaned up, (even though she was not happy about it) and decided it might be deep enough to get stitches. So we called up our friend Kris (A good friend of ours mom who's a nurse practioner) and had her take a look. She thought it might need stitches and sent us over to the urgent care, then later called the care facility and had them send us back to her house with some supplies so it wouldn't cost us anything to get it done. We ended up just needing to Glue it back together and not get stitches!!!! We are so blessed to have such a great friends who take care of us!! Thanks again kris for your help!! Kinley was so funny about the bandage too, most kids would pick at it and play with it. But kinley wouldn't touch the thing, which was nice because it was able to heal up nicely without any trouble!! So glad this is the worst of what we have had to deal with so far!!

Hiking and more St. George Fun

We have been in St. George from August until the beginning of November for one of erics rotations for school. We have been lucky enough to stay with Erics parents while we started this little adventure! Needless to say, I think Eric has been in Heaven being home with family and friends for this short time. He has been golfing, playing softball, hunting, etc. We have also been having so much fun spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Drake and doing all the fun outdoor things that St. George has to offer. We went hiking at Snow Canyon Park (where eric and I got engaged) and kinley just loved being able to run free. We also went to the corn mazes with the Stahelis and had a blast there! I didn't get any pictures on my camera of halloween, but kinley dressed up as Princess Jasmine and we went to dinner at the stahelis and went out trick or treating later that night. Kinley loved it, and was fascinated with all the costumes. She kept saying "Scary Man" and really got into the trick or treating(getting candy). Overall we had an awesome time in St. George and hopefully can't wait to end up there!!!

  Kinleys 2 year photos

While we were in St. George we decided to take some two year old pictures of kinley! So Grandma Drake and I went out early in the morning to take some shots. Let just say the morning pictures really didn't turn out so good. Kinley was extremely uncooperative and I was starting to think we wouldn't get anything worth while. But we decided to try one more place before lunch, at the Joseph Smith House. She finally decided to perk up and take some cute shots, but it of course had to be on her own terms and we had to kinda let her take charge of what was going on. She is soo stubborn that little one!! Thanks Grandma Drake for your help!

Thanksgiving in Missouri

Our next adventure was to Missouri, where eric would start his 3rd rotation in Miami, Oklahoma. Shortly after we got there the whole family (excluding Rob, cause he had to work) was able to come for Thanksgiving. We had a fun filled week with family pictures, games, and fun with cousins! It was interesting having five little 2 year old terrors running around the house, but we had a good time. It always fun getting together and enjoying eachothers company, even if it is only for a little while!

Christmas Adventures!

The first part of the month we were able to travel out to Brent and Brookes house to visit and spend time with the cousins and to celebrate brookes birthday. While we were there we went out to dinner at olive garden, had cake and ice cream, made ginger bread houses, and played games! We had an awesome weekend.

When we got home we were able to go to Bass Pro to see all their christmas displays, and to see all the cool animals. Kinley had such a good time, especially with her daddy on the Merry-Go-Round and shooting guns!
She got to see Santa at the ward christmas party this year, and to our surprise DIDN'T CRY. I seriously couldn't believe it! She liked him because he was going to give her a candy cane, I guess candy goes a long way with this little girl.

We were able to travel up to Brian and Leias at the end of the month to celebrate Christmas with them. We had some great eating while we were there and had an awesome time hanging out with everyone. We went shopping and to a restaurant called Crown Candy that was really good. (Even though I ended up getting a little sick later than night. I guess I probably shouldn't have eaten the leftovers). Christmas eve the kids all opened up their pajamas and acted out the nativity, and they were up bright and early christmas morning. Kinley was actually more interested in the Candy than the presents this year! I think her favorite gifts were the disney princesses that Grandma Drake got her and the Brave DVD. She has had a pretty good time playing with all the toys that she got this year! She is one happy, spoiled little girl!!
