We finally got to visit the Roloff farm with Chase and Alex...We had been planning and talking about it for months! For those of you who don't know who the roloffs are, they are a family on TLC a reality show called Little People, Big World! They live here in Hillsboro about 10 min. from our house and they do this big pumpkin farm every year! Anyway we had a great time and definetely will be back again next year! Thanks again Chase and Alex for such a fun weekend, we needed it!

Bored out of my MIND!

Well we figured we should write something, since we haven't in awhile. Eric has been super busy with school...he has one or two tests a week along with a couple quizzes to add to his stress! So between studying and school I don't see him a whole lot. I finally signed with a temping agency for work because my efforts in finding a job by myself weren't working. But I haven't gotten any work with them yet either, soooo that leaves me at home all alone :(! I have been trying to keep myself busy, but it isn't easy...We are just counting down the days until our fall break in November and then we get to drive down to Provo for Thanksgiving and we can't wait!

Labor Day Getaway!

Me and Eric at the Tillamook Cheese Factory!
Me and Eric at Cape Mears.

The Cape Mears Light House.

What eric found on the trail...ha, Can anyone guess what it is???

Me and Eric decided to get out of the house for Labor Day and head toward the coast with our Canadian friends :)! Our first stop was the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We got to try a bunch of different types of cheese and had the best ice cream/waffle cones around. Then we headed over to Cape Mears to see if we could see and whales. Apparently it's not the season yet for them so we didn't see any, but hopefully next time we will! We had a good time checking out all the fun attractions and just enjoying the beautiful weather. Eric definetely needed this little break, he had his first week of school and its going to be a tough semester for him! As for me I have a couple job offers and I am trying to figure out the perfect schedule for them. So hopefully by the end of the month I will be working full time!

The Group!

Me and Eric finally got a chance to go hangout with friends out at the coast. We took advantage of this heat wave that is going on, and it was gorgeous out there. We were able to just hang out, and go skim boarding a little. But holy cow the water was FREEZING! You had to let your feet get numb before you could even enjoy any of it! Eric took a walk down to the "Hay Stack" Rock (the rock off of the movie the goonies) and found some really big Star Fish, and he found a big live crab roll in with the waves! We also had a chance to walk around town to all of the cool shops. We got some pizza and got to try some of the salt water taffy in some of the candy shops. We had so much fun that we are heading back out there tomorrow! :)

OUR NEW HOUSE!!!

The front of our house!

Our bedroom!

Living room!
Our Kitchen!

The washer and dryer we purchased off of craigslist for cheap!
It's finally done, we are all moved in! We are still unpacking here and there, but things are coming together quickly! We have really enjoyed being here so far, Oregon is gorgeous! Eric has already made friends with a few guys from his class, therefore, he has been golfing, playing basketball and having a good time! We went to our ward on sunday and it seems like its going to be a lot of fun...almost half of the ward is optometry students! I'm still looking for a job, which means I have handed out a million resumes, and checked craigslist every day! We just wanted to say Thanks to all our family and friends who helped us move and get through this house crisis it was really appreciated!

Eric and the boys playing Wiffleball in the meadow.

Last weekend we got together with all of Eric's family to go camping up on Beaver mountain at Lebaron Lake. They usually do it later in the summer but since we're headed to Oregon here soon and the Staheli's are moving to Hawaii we moved it up a little bit. We got done selling in Kansas city, came home to St. George and headed right up the mountain for the next 3 days. It was perfect weather the whole time, nice and cool with no humidity! It was so much fun to have the whole family together to chill, play wiffleball in the meadow, play games, and fish. It was a much needed vacation and probably the last one we'll have till our move to Portland. We're going to miss everyone so much and can't wait to see them all again!!
